Karen Darlene (Klein) Fortier

Karen Darlene Fortier passed away peacefully at the age of 68, in Whitecourt, Alberta, on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Karen was born February 22, 1957, in Edson Alberta. She was the youngest of two children born to John and Phyllis Klein. Karen grew up in Hinton, Alberta, where she attended school, met and married her husband Gerry, raised three wonderful children, Aaron, Nicole and Nina. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family. Some of her favourite activities were reading, baking, diamond art, crafting, quilting, wreath making, flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. Karen and Gerry were married in May of 1976 and made Hinton their home, until moving to Whitecourt in 2014. Karen was predeceased by her father John, mother Phyllis, and brother Terry. She is survived by her husband Gerry, children Aaron(Maureen), Nicole(Marcus) and Nina(Nick), grandchildren, Holdyn, Hudson, Jared, Nixon, Grace and Noah. 

Karen is resting peacefully with her Lord and Saviour.

She requested cremation with her final resting place in Hinton.
