Julien "Duffy" Dufault

Julien (Duffy) left us peacefully on July 7, 2022, at the Continuing Care Unit of the Hinton Health Care Centre at the age of 79. He was born on April 13, 1943, in a small unnamed hamlet on the Saskatchewan Manitoba border to Emily and Nowi Dufault.

Raised in Winnipeg MB, he married Colleen, then settled down in Hinton AB. Julien retired in Evansburg AB but moved back to Hinton in 2014. In the early years they owned the Hinton Cab company (1970’s), then worked at Cardinal River Coal for 30 + years. Eaton Drive was mom and dad’s old stomping grounds.

Left to mourn his parting are his children Chris Dufault, Raymond Dufault, Shawn (Carla) Dufault and Angelique (Shawn) Larocque, as well as many grandchildren.

Julien was predeceased by his parents, as well as siblings-Edel, Marg, Leony, Terry and Lefty.

His beloved wife, Colleen Dufault, passed away January 29, 2015.
