John (Jan) De Pee

With sadness in our hearts we announce that on Wednesday, October 7^th, the Lord Jesus called John De Pee to his eternal home at the age of 90. We are thankful he is now relieved from his suffering and is now with his Lord and Saviour which he was so longing for.

He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Femmie (nee Scholing) of 64 years, their children Janet and Ron, Alice and Clayton, Art and Sue, (Andrea) and Frank, Joan and Arnold, Harvey and Jill; as well as 23 grandchildren and their partners, 50 great grandchildren and one in Heaven.

He was predeceased by his daughter Andrea in 2019, son-in-law Glenn Van Meetelen in 2015, grandson-in-law Tim VanderVeen in 2015, as well as a great grandson Miles DeLeeuw in 2010.

He immigrated from Holland to Canada at the age of 22 years. He settled in the Wolf Creek area where he started his business Riverbend Vegetable Farm. He was a humble man and a hard worker. After retiring from the farm they moved to Edson and from there in 2012 they moved into the Emmanuel Home in Edmonton, until the day of his passing.

A private family Service will be held and interment will be at the Glenwood Cemetery.
