Jeannine Rita (Carrier) Blais died peacefully at the age of 88 years on July 18th, 2024, in Hinton, Alberta. Jeannine was born on December 21st, 1935, in Cookshire- Eaton Campton, Quebec, to parents Armand Carrier and Lilianne Doyon. Her siblings are Robert, Hugette, Suzzane (deceased), Pauline (deceased), Denise, Pierre (deceased), Paul and Doris. Jeannine was married in Cookshire and was a devoted and loving wife to Armand Blais (deceased).
Jeannine was a loving mother to her five children, Roger, Claude, Daniel, Dianne and Sylvie.
Jeannine chose the career of education and became a teacher. She loved painting, gardening, baking and travelling with her dear husband Armand.
Jeannine is survived by her children Roger Blais (Lorriane) of Calgary, Claude Blais (Rose) of Hinton, Daniel Blais (Teresita) of Hinton, Dianne Godbout (Ron) of Grande Cache and Sylvie Blais of Calgary, as well as her grandchildren Cory, Janelle, Gilles, Robyn, Jackie, Cristina, Richard, Nicole, Justin and her sunshine twins Ashley and Rachel. Jeannine is also survived by eight great grandchildren (one deceased) and many nephews and nieces.
Cremation has taken place and both Jeannine’s ashes along with her husband Armand's will soon be scattered in Morfee Mountain in Mackenzie, British Columbia, a place that Jeannine described had a magnificent view, with fresh air that calmed and relaxed her.
Donations can be made in Jeannine’s honour to the charity of one's choice.
