Jane Larson

May 2, 1925 – August 13, 2020

Mrs. Jane Larson of Hinton, AB, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 13, 2020 at the age of 95 years.

Jane Fossen was born on a farm between Killam and Forestburg, Alberta. She married Len Larson on February 7, 1945. Together, they had 6 children Bev, Bobby, June, Jack, Craig and Hilma Sue.

Jane was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake for family and friends. Jane loved to keep busy and was very social. Her passions were bowling, golfing and she loved curling. She was a long-standing member of the Hinton Legion and could be found on Saturdays at the meat draw. She also loved to travel. Vegas was one of her favourite places. What Jane loved most was the time she was able to spend with her family.

Jane will be lovingly remembered by her children Bev Bowens, June Larson, Jack (Nicole) Larson, Craig (Wendy) Larson and Hilma Sue (Murray) Wadell; grandchildren Rick (Deb) Bownes, Natalie (Triston) Fehrenbach, Bea-Jae (Gary) Jacobsen, Dallas (Stephanie) Gair, Brad (Breanna) Larson, Ashley Larson and Aaron Munro, Alana Larson, Kell and (Melissa) Larson, Ileana Larson and Jeff Sharun, Breanne (Paxton) Malyk, Brock (Tanya) Frederick and Marc Frederick; as well as 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also surviving Jane are her brother Todd (Mona) Fossen and sister-in-law Donna Fossen.

Jane was predeceased by her husband Len Larson and her son Bobby Larson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Royal Canadian Legion (250 Pembina Ave, Hinton, AB).
