Irene Theresa (Tailby) Tilby

Irene Theresa Tilby passed away suddenly on August 29th, 2024. She was the mother of Ryan, Kaz and Janine and partner in life to Anthony Thibodeau.

Irene was born on June 12th, 1960, to William & Marie Tailby and she was the oldest of seven children.

Rene graduated in 1978. Her working career started as a telephone operator for AGT. After that she discovered her love for administration and office work. She started this at Gelmici Jewellers, then moved onto True Value Hardware. She has spent the last 14 years at Castle Rentals & Welding Supplies, where she found not only her work family but a life partner, Tony.

As much as Irene loved her job, it was nothing compared to the pride and joy she had in being a mom and gramma. You could always see and feel her love for them whenever she talked about them or was with them.

Irene was best known for her grace, perseverance, and beauty. Rene was a pillar of support for her children and family. She was always supporting those around her and never taking any attention for herself. She always created a safe space, free from judgement and always filled with love.

Irene is survived by her spouse, Anthony Thibodeau, her children Ryan Nagano, Kaz Nagano (Shannon), Janine Tilby (Jordon) and her grandchildren Nevin, Kaylis and Syris. Her mother, Marie Tailby and all her siblings, Ed (Theresa), Bill (Judy), Tim, Brian (Lana), Cheryl (Lance) and Mark, as well as numerous nephews and nieces, who she loved greatly.

She is predeceased by her dad, William Tailby, whom we all know will be extremely happy to be reunited with her.
