Grace (Postma) Reinsma

It is with gentle sadness but with thankfulness for a long, well-lived life (December 2, 1923 - February 24, 2021), that we announce that our mom and Beppe, GRACE REINSMA, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on the evening of February 24th.

She will be greatly missed by her children: Anna Feddes, Terri Roch, Hilda Elzinga, Alice VanDeKraats, David Reinsma and their respective partners. She was a loving Beppe to 19 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and the partners of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her son, Symon in 1984 and her husband, Albert in 2000. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews in Canada and the Netherlands. She will be sorely missed by her dearest friend/soul sister Corrie Halliwell and by many, many other friends including those that she met while residing at Chartwell Hawthorn for the last 10+ years. Thank you for your love, support and friendship to her. She cherished each one of you.

She leaves a legacy of a faith filled life; a love for nature; she had a servant’s heart; and her door was always open so she could extend her hospitality and friendship. She loved to sing, listen to good music, laugh at good jokes and humorous cards. There was a real twinkle of mischief in her eyes but a wonderful look of amazement and welcome when one would visit her!

Mom loved knitting and crocheting and made hundreds of toques, scarves, premie baby hats, afghans, sweaters, slippers, socks, beautiful doilies and tablecloths in her lifetime. Most of her work was donated to non-profit agencies. She was able to knit and crochet until her passing.
