Glen May

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Richard May. Glen passed away at the age of 62 on April 24th, 2024. Glen was from Grand Bank, Newfoundland, born to Ellison and Ruth May (Farrell) on October 19, 1961, and had five brothers and sisters.

Glen was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to many, he will be greatly missed. Glen especially loved becoming a grandfather “papa” to his favorite boys Hayden & Eddie in these past 2 years.

Glen enjoyed a life spent mostly outdoors - fishing, hunting and camping with his family. Glen was an avid woodworker and enjoyed making furniture for himself and others. Glen loved going home to visit his family and friends in NL as often as he could, especially for the homecoming and to go cod jigging. Glen worked for CN Rail in Jasper and then Edson, AB for 35 years before he retired at age 55.

Glen is predeceased by his father Ellison and brother Terry.
He is survived by his loving family: Wife Kim, daughter Chrissy (Dave) and grandson Hayden, son Robby (Carlie) and grandson Eddie, mother Ruth, brother Jamie (Marie), sisters Nadine (Barry), Yvonne (Tim), Dianne (Brian), father in-law Pat (Betti), mother in-law Paulette and sister-in-law Cheryl.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 26th, 2024, at the Edson Legion at 2:00 pm. There will be a luncheon following the service. Please join the family for light refreshments and sandwiches to honor and remember Glen May.
