George was born in Edson, Alberta and grew up in Malboro for the first half of his life. He soon found his passion for music, especially the fiddle, and his love for mechanics. He came to Edson after his daughter Mary was grown up. George loved spending time with his family and was a great husband, father, uncle, and brother. He so enjoyed playing his fiddle, guitar, and mandolin with his friends and family spontaneously. He played music at the Parkland Lodge for many years and enjoyed playing at jamborees with his friends. George loved people, had a great sense of humor, liked to help those in need, especially to fix their cars.

A memorial service was held at Foothills Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 @ 2:00 p.m for immediate family.

A celebration of life will be held hopefully in the summer of 2021 once COVID 19 conditions are lifted.
