1959-2020

Mr.  Geoffrey Hore of Hinton, Alberta, beloved husband of Shari Hore, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on March 11, 2020 at the age of 61 years.

Geoff leaves to mourn his loving wife of 39 years Shari; daughter Lindsay (Jared); son Ryan (Lindsey), son Brad (Cynthia); grandchildren Tenley, Reid, Mason, Brody, Carter, Drew & Ryann; sibling Greg (Bev); mother Helen.  Geoff was predeceased by his father Les.

Geoff began working at West Fraser, August 12, 1976 and retired from the company in 2018.  Geoff was passionate about golf and hockey.  He kept busy coaching his three children’s hockey teams over the years.  He also enjoyed camping and fishing with his family.  His love and support will be sadly missed. 

At Geoff’s request there will be no service.  Instead, a private gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.  The family of Geoff Hore would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nursing staff at the Mazankowski Alberta Health Institute for their compassion and care over the past several weeks.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Geoff’s memory to the Mazankowski Alberta Health Institute online at https://www.universityhospitalfoundation.ab.ca/AboutUs/Maz.
