With heavy hearts we share the sad news that Garry John Franson, of Hinton, AB, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the age of 78.
He was born in Edson, AB on August 27, 1944, to parents George and Mary Franson. Garry married his wife Brenda Franson on February 16, 1983. He was father to Allen and Tony Franson, stepfather to Scot, Jennifer and Kevin (Chrissy) Georgeson, grandfather to Tye and Natalie Georgeson.
He was predeceased by his father, mother and sisters Jean Pattison and Diane Shopland. Garry has one surviving sister, Eileen Kramer, as well as nieces and nephews left to mourn his loss.
Garry drove loader for 30 years at West Fraser Mill in Hinton. After he retired, he enjoyed driving gravel truck and doing small engine repairs.
He was a very sociable person and was loved by all those who knew him.
His wishes were that there would be no Funeral Service held.
