Gail Jeanette (Appel) Mullen

The family of Gail Mullen would like to announce that she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on January 10, 2023, at the age of 63 in Edmonton, Alberta, at the University of Alberta Hospital.

Gail was born on January 13, 1959 in Jasper, Alberta, to Edward Ronald Appel and Beryl (Skingley) Appel. She was raised in Hinton, Alberta, along with her three sisters and four brothers.

Gail had found love at a young age and on June 29, 1974 she married the love of her life Bob Mullen. They went on to have five children and thirteen grandchildren.

Gail loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She also liked to cook big family meals as well as knitting in her past time. For the last 17 years she was delivering mail for Canada Post and loved it.

Gail leaves behind her loving husband, Bob Mullen, son Robert (Marci) Mullen, daughter Tammy (John) Singleton, son Mike (Shar) Mullen, son Gary (Tasha) Mullen, son Brandon Mullen, along with two brothers and three sisters.

Gail was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Beryl Appel and her brothers Steven and Garry.

Gail and her spunky personality will be missed more than we know. We are very thankful for the time and memories that we all shared with her.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
