Frank Taylor Obituary

The family of Frank Glen Taylor sadly announces his passing on Friday, January 13, 2023, at the age of 74 in the Edson Healthcare Center.

Frank was born on April 15, 1948, in McBride, British Columbia, to Foster Franklin and Beatrice Margret Taylor. Frank had five siblings: Belva Rose Taylor, Sandra Rebecca Taylor, James Foster Taylor, Carol Margaret Taylor, and Mark Allen Taylor (deceased). Frank was married to Vinia Heather Taylor (Nee: Tredwin) (deceased) and had two children of his own: Suzanne Margaret Taylor and Robbie Frank Taylor. Frank dedicated his life to his loving wife and although there are no trophies to tell of, his vow was never broken and his crowning achievement is a lifelong marriage to the most wonderful woman ever. Frank was later blessed with four grandchildren: Belle Michelle Glober, Vanessa Aquene Mary Grossberndt, Seth Liam Graham Taylor, Mikaela Vinia Taylor and two great-grandchildren: Lucas Collin Glober and Caleb Glen Glober.

Frank’s places of residence where he built his life were in Hinton and Edson, Alberta, where he also built railroads and highways, he worked at the coal mine, he was a tire repair man as well as a heavy-duty equipment operator. Things that brought Frank enjoyment were being a junior forest warden leader, being a foster parent and his love for horses. He enjoyed camping, gardening, tinkering in the shop with mechanical and construction projects and overall enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Frank’s sense of humour is best left to the thick skinned, and not to be taken seriously when he was only poking fun.

Frank loved helping the unfortunate such as those with special needs and learning disabilities. Frank had a big heart for people who struggled with conditions that could not be cured but could be made more endurable by the attention, love and the care he gave them. Camp He Ho Ha, fundraisers, telethons, Run For Hope Cancer Foundation are but a few avenues of his charity. Frank had two cardinal rules in his home: no religion, no politics. The sky above was his church and nature itself was his guiding light. One of Franks only disappointments in his life was the disparity in the world.

A Service for Frank Glen Taylor will be held on Sunday, February 5th, 2023, at the Pioneer Cabin, 4836 7Ave., Edson, AB., from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. Followed by an Interment at the Glenwood Cemetery. The family welcomes everyone to join them.
