Obituary
On Saturday, April 8th, 2023, Steven (Francis) Venables of Edson, AB, passed away peacefully at the age of 62 years.
Steve will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those who were lucky enough to have met him. Admired for his hard work ethic, gentle soul, quick wit and sense of humor. Steve enjoyed classic trucks, Harley’s and loved nothing more than driving around admiring the lights during the holiday season or enjoyed reading a well-weathered western book.
Steve loved his family deeply, for that he will be cherished, loved and remembered always. Steve is survived by two siblings; Michelle MacRae of Valleyview AB, and Keith (Ashley) Kaliciak of Edson AB, his daughter; Janean Venables, grandchildren; Janaya and Keeden Roberts, nieces; Crystal Vanderaa, Cortney Kaliciak, Kiana Kaliciak and Alexis LaPierre, nephews; James Mac Rae, Shane (Vanessa) MacRae and Landen LaPierre, his great niece; Adrianna Groshko and great nephew; Colton MacRae. Steven was predeceased by his father; Alf (Alfred) Venables, his mother; Marg (Margaret) Venables/Kaliciak and siblings; Bruce Venables, Valorie Vanderaa, and Yvonne Venables.
A Gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate Steve’s life will be planned at a later date.
