Erma was born in Bashaw, Alberta, to Frank and Lydia Mulzet on March 11, 1941. When she was 17, she moved to Edson, Alberta, to live with her sister, Angie. This was where she met her future husband, Alex. They were married on November 19, 1960, and built their home and family over the following years.
Erma never missed an opportunity to share her kindness and thoughtfulness with her family. She created a welcoming home for all. Extending her kindness to the community, she generously lent her culinary expertise to church events and volunteered at the thrift store.
Her interests also extended to sports such as curling and horseshoes, but her favorite was time with family.
Her last years were a struggle with her failing health, but it also showed what a strong and determined person she was. She often put on a brave face when it must have been the most difficult. She will be dearly missed as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Erma will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Alex, daughter Joanne (Scott) of Calgary, Alberta, son Bruce (Dionne) of Kiln, Mississippi, and son Dale (Chinh) of Calgary, Alberta, as well as her five grandchildren Braxton, Cohen, Makenna, Quynn and Ell. She was predeceased by her grandson, Jake.
A Funeral Service will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Edson, Alberta, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 11:00 am, with lunch to follow.
