She was predeceased by her Mother Primrose in 1971 and her father George in 1975, as well as her big brother Tom in February 2006. Eleanor is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 67 years, Garry, from Edson, AB, her son Bob from Edson, AB, son Glen (Rose) from Dollard, Sask., son Greg (Tammy) from Edson, AB and Christine (Rocky, Ryder + Rosie), from Edson, AB.
She is also survived by her 2 big sisters, Alice Grandquillot from Sask., and Hazel Percy from BC., as well as grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Many stories and memories were shared with us from her sisters Alice and Hazel.
Eleanor was recognized for her many contributions to the community, the local Thrift Shop and Edson Farmer’s Market, where she definitely showed her baking talent.
She was also a very gifted quilter and made many quilts for charities, auctions and the Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton. She was a very strong supporter of the community, participating in local activities. We will deeply miss Mom’s “Apple Salad” at our family gatherings…. That was the best and she was very proud of that recipe.
Rest in Peace, Mom, you can now do some quilting with your Mom! We love you!
If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society (Alberta and Northwest Territories), 10531 Kingsway Ave, Edmonton, AB T5H 4K1
