It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Elaine Shaw on Friday May 15th 2020 in Hinton, Alberta after fighting cancer since September 2019.

Elaine moved to Hinton in 1996 with her son. She fell in love with the mountains, she enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed kayaking the lakes surrounding her town. Elaine spent a few years as a teacher aid at the Roche Miette elementary school, as well as an accountant and worked in the kitchen at the Hinton General Hospital.

Elaine Shaw was born in Tisdale, Saskchaewan, January 8^th, 1958. She is predeceased by both her parents, Anne and Leo McCrea of Tisdale. Elaine is survived by her Brother Raymond McCrea of Regina, Saskachewan, and Sister Beatrice Klindt of Porcupine, Saskachewan. Also survived by her son Robin Shaw (Amanda), And grandchildren Booklynn Shaw, Levi Pambrun, Farrah Pambrun and Odin Shaw of Hinton, Alberta.

Elaine Shaw was a loving mother and a loving grandmother. She was genuinely thoughtful and had a big heart towards everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by friends and family.
