Edwin Doherty Obituary

Ed was born in Barrhead in 1949. He moved to Hinton in 1957 and lived there all his life.

He married Alma Roussel in 1981 and together they had 3 children: Darcy, Amber (Colin), and Darla (David), as well as 3 grandchildren: Cyenna, Aaron and Lincoln.

Ed passed away on September 18, 2020 at the age of 70.

Ed was a multi-instrumentalist and loved playing old time country music, playing in several local bands. He worked for more than 35 years at the mine and retired for health reasons.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Alma, parents Gordon and Hazel Doherty, sister Darlene, Granddaughter Alexis and inlaws Tony and Marie Roussel.

Ed was survived by his children and grandchildren, brother Don (Deb), sisters Ellie, Doreen, Lorna (Richard) and many nieces and nephews.
