It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of (Ted) Edward Charles Field, a dear and loving husband father, and grandfather. Ted was born January 4th, 1938, and passed away on August 3rd, 2023, at the age of 85.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of almost 57 years, (Maggie) Margot Field of Edson, Ab, and children Chuck Field, Lynn (Joe) Petrin, and grandson Ryan Petrin. Ted leaves behind a brother and sister in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, a self-adopted daughter Kathy Yu and her family, plus very close friends.
Ted worked as a sheriffs Bailiff for 14 years, later he became a maintenance personnel for the Alberta Provincial Building in Edson where he worked till his retirement. His passion for the outdoors and outdoor lifestyle led him to become a hunter, trapper, and instructor for the Alberta Trappers Association. He was also the secretary Treasure of the Alberta Trappers Association for many years. He loved archery and devoted his time to the local archery club. Ted earned many medals including the Canadian gold, for 3-D master’s Unlimited in 1993, silver for Bow hunter Unlimited in 1994, and gold for the Provincial Alberta Target Archers Master’s Unlimited in 2006.
Ted was predeceased by his father Fred Field in 1986 and mother Connie Field in 1999.
Cremation has taken place, and at Ted’s request no service will be held.
