It is with great sadness our family announces the unexpected passing of Dustin Levi Belcourt on February 3, 2023, at the young age of 33. Dustin was born August 29, 1989, in Edson, Alberta. He lived in Edson for the majority of his life, with some time spent in Edmonton. He worked on the pipelines around his hometown and surrounding area. Dustin’s true passion and calling in life was his beloved guitar, spending countless hours playing as many songs as he could learn. He was a talented musician with a free spirit, finding beauty in everyone and everything. Dustin loved hunting, fishing and exploring the wilderness. He enjoyed nights around the bonfire laughing with friends and recounting his daily adventures. Dustin had a deep love for music that he always shared with his family and friends.
Dustin is survived by his father, David (Martin) Belcourt, his mother, Catherine Hayman, sister, Terran Belcourt and brother, David (Kane) Hayman (Shanna Hutchison). He is also survived by his grandparents Rita & Malcolm Hayman, aunts and uncles, Albin & Vickie Belcourt, Steven & Lori Belcourt, Kevin Belcourt, Marlon Belcourt, Constance Dinwoodie, Mona Letendre, Linda & Richard Messier, Tony Belcourt, Sherry Hayman, Ronald Hayman, including many cousins.
Dustin was predeceased by his grandmother Eleanor Belcourt as well as his uncles Stuart Belcourt and Terry Hayman.
Dustin will be forever remembered by numerous relatives and an abundance of friends.
