It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Donald “Don” Moorehead, aged 63, on March 19th, 2026. Don touched the lives of so many people. Born in Elk Point, Alberta, on May 15, 1962, Don came to Edson, Alberta, with his family at age 2 months and never left. He was employed in the oil and gas industry as a career journeyman pipefitter. He was instrumental in the creation of the Seniors Bus for Edson and acted as President for over a decade. Don was an active Legion member. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. Sitting around a campfire with friends was one of his greatest treasures.
He is survived by his brothers Stanley (Vivian) and Jim (Donna) of Edmonton, Alberta, and his sisters Debra Senetza and Barbara Williams of Leduc, Alberta. Don was predeceased by his parents Wesley and Eleanor, his sister Patricia, and brother Bill.
Our thanks to the Edson RCMP Detachment and Edson Ambulance Service for their support.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a future date.
