Darrel Dion Elliott

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Darrel Elliott at the age of 52 years old.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Nadine, mother Joyce, father in-law Bob, daughters Linzy, Lacey, Shelby and stepson Brodie, grandchildren Kassidy, Jaxson, Paityn, Ella and Hudson, his brother Nic, sister in-law Tina, brother's in-law Garner (Rhonda), and Jarad (Andrea). He is predeceased by his father Gursh, Mother in-law Nina, brothers George, John, and Arthur.
Darrel was born in Roddicton, Newfoundland & Labrador, and he moved to his hometown of Stewart, British Columbia, at a young age. This is where he found his passion working in the logging industry and being outdoors.
Darrel lived in many places including Stewart, British Columbia, Smithers, British Columbia, Red Deer, Alberta, Sylvan Lake, Alberta, and then Powell River, British Columbia, where he met his wife, Nadine. Then, together, moving to Edson, Alberta, where he passed.
Although he was not surrounded by loved ones in his final moments, he was somewhere familiar, where he could be at peace. If he was not with family, he was at work.
His hobbies included boating, camping, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, who he loved very much. Darrel was a caring and dedicated family man, skilled operator, and a hard worker. He had a huge heart, adventurous zest for life and contagious sense of laughter.

A celebration of Darrel’s life will be held on a later date.
