It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darlyne Warner.
Darlyne was surrounded by her family and mountains when she passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on January 1, 2024, in Grande Cache, AB.
Darlyne is survived by her loving daughters Tamaryn Maisey (Bryan) & Tara
McLeod (Travis), stepdaughter Lynnell Irving (Jay) and her grandchildren, who
were the apple of her eye; Taler Maisey (Josh), Tanner Maisey (Emily), Jarett McLeod & Talin McLeod, her step grandchildren who she loved from afar; Lindzay Irving (Javier)), Bryson Irving (Jynissa), Deza Irving & Letcia Irving, her brothers Darrel Mizinski (Joanne), Derwin Mizinski, Darren Mizinski, sister Debbie Anderson, brother in-laws Butch Warner, Patrick Williams (Marcia), sister in-law Val Gagnon, and many nieces & nephews who she was very close to, as well as her best friend Shirley Schnell who was by her side every step of the way the last few months.
Darlyne was predeceased by her loving husband Irvin Warner in April 2016, mother Pauline Mizinski in March 2013, father Nickolas Mizinski in March 2008, mother in-law Irene Warner July 2008, father in-law Les Warner Dec 1983 and sister Shirley Mizinski in April 1954.
Darlyne moved to Grande Cache in 1969 with Irv to work at McIntyre- Porcupine Mines, they also owned and operated many businesses in Grande Cache including the Glass Shop, Laundry Mat, Dry Cleaners and Accounting/Bookkeeping/Income tax office.
Darlyne & Irv semi retired to Lake Isle, AB in 1995 and then Spruce Grove in 2008 however Grande Cache was always their home.
Darlyne looked forward to income tax season every year, she adored her clients and made lifelong friendships that she could not retire from.
At the end of her 2023 tax season Darlyne became ill and she was diagnosed with Cancer.
Darlyne will forever be remembered for loving her family, being a #1 hockey fan, always supporting her kids & grandchildren (even housing 3 of them for work/school/hockey). Darlyne loved British Columbia, Hawaii, Mexico and Florida. Her love of the beach, lake & ocean will always live on through her children and grandchildren.
A small Memorial Service will take place in the Spring of 2024.
