Daniel Thomas Patrick Berard

It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Daniel Thomas Berard, beloved husband of Gloria Berard, of Hinton, Alberta, at the age of 70.

Daniel was born March 6, 1954, in Vancouver, British Columbia. He pursued a career of copper mining in Alaska, which lead him to coal mining in Hinton, Alberta, where he retired from Teck Coal Mine after 40 years of dedicated work.

Daniel loved to go hiking, quadding, and hanging out with his friends in the garage.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Berard, son, Delton Berard and wife Julie Berard of Grande Prairie, three grandchildren, Chance Poppe, Damien Berard and Amy-Anne Berard one great grandson, Hunter Lockard-Poppe, as well as three sisters, Virgina Baker, Barabara Berard and Christina Brochu.
