Cheyenna Thomas Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cheyanna Marie Thomas on July 15, 2026.

Cheyanna was born on March 20, 1988, in Edson, Alberta, to her loving parents Edwin and Colleen Trydal. She was raised on the family acreage along North Road, where she developed a deep appreciation for family, nature, and the simple joys of life.

From a young age, Cheyanna embraced life with enthusiasm and determination. She loved playing soccer and proudly earned a gold medal, a reflection of her competitive spirit and dedication. Gifted with a beautiful singing voice, she also found joy in music, playing the ukelele, guitar and piano. Whether through song or laughter, Cheyanna had a special way of bringing warmth and happiness to those around her.

She also enjoyed exploring the world and created cherished memories during her travels to France, Germany, and Quebec. Her adventurous spirit and curiosity left her with unforgettable experiences.

Cheyanna’s greatest love was her family. She was a loving mother to her four precious children, Noah, Rose, Zaida, and Wolfie, who were the center of her world.  Her love, guidance, and unwavering devotion to them will remain in their hearts forever.

Cheyanna was predeceased by her beloved sister, Kim Esler; her grandparents, John and Phyllis Trydal and Charles and Olga Bauer, her uncle Chet Bauer, and many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins who were there to welcome her to her own little place in heaven.

She leaves behind to mourn her passing her loving parents, Edwin and Colleen Trydal, her beloved children, Noah, Rosie, Zaida and Wolfie; her aunts Barb Diggins Bauer and family, Debbie Pichette Bauer and family, Laurie Boilord Bauer and family, along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by Cheyanna’s love.

Though Cheyanna’s time with us was far too short, she will be remembered with love, kindness and sweet smiles. She will be forever missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.

Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear.” -Alex Maclean-
