Charlotte grew up in Wainwright, AB. Tragically, at 14, she lost her mother to cancer. At 16 she was married to Peter. A few years later, living in Calgary, she had a son, Terry. After losing him to crib death, she did have one other child, Corina. As life with Peter was no joy, she left and went to Edmonton. In Edmonton she transformed into Chris and became the first supervisor for the 7-11 commissaries across Canada. Later she ran a 23-line switch board at Imperial Lumber. It was when she was working at The Edmonton Training Centre as the receptionist, registrar, office manager, student counsellor and student placement officer, that she met Don. After only a few months they moved into an apartment close to her work in downtown Edmonton. They were married on August 25, 1989. Soon they decided to get out of the city and Bruderheim became their first of many homes together. The last home in Parkland County was purchased in 2005 and was where they lived until she passed. Charlotte loved her cats, dogs, donkey, and horses. She loved to care for and rescue animals. It was precious to her, also, if she could bring a smile to the face of a senior. Charlotte was always the bright light at the party, always giving as much of herself as possible. She knew how to love and will always be in our hearts.
A Funeral Service to commemorate Charlotte’s life will be held at the Foothills Memorial Chapel, Edson, on January 26, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
