Brett Raymond Appel

It is with great sadness that the family of Brett Appel announce his peaceful passing on April 27, 2023 at the age of 46 surrounded by his family.

Brett was born to Raymond and Lyn Appel on September 27, 1976 at the Hinton Healthcare Centre and spent the majority of his life in Hinton.

Brett will forever be remembered for his passion for art whether it was drawing, painting or tattooing, his love of fishing, horror films and his immense love for his family. Brett was always up for an adventure and loved nothing more than spending time with his family.

Brett will lovingly be remembered by his parents Raymond and Lyn Appel, his sister Tracy Appel (Dave Johnson), his niece Destiny Hamer (Matt Worobey), his niece Taylor Hamer (Ken Reid), his nephew Braden Hamer (Eden Marklund), his great-nephew Little K (Kenny Reid) and his former wife Tammy Appel.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Erin Cote, Maryann Shopa and the homecare team, Tammy Koch and Liz Steneker at the Hinton Cancer Clinic and to the nursing staff at the Hinton Healthcare Centre.

As per Brett’s request, no service will be held.
