Brenda Marie (Barton) Grimble

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, Nana, and friend, Brenda Grimble, of Edson, on the afternoon of January 16, 2021 at the age of 71 years. 

She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education in 1972.  She went on to be the most astounding teacher and touched the hearts and souls of many people in her life’s journey.  All of our lives are better and richer for having been blessed to have her.  

Brenda cherished her family and friends and she enjoyed nothing more than being with them.  Spending time together at dinners and on holidays, playing games, watching a movie or Oilers game were big highlights. She loved camping and fishing, no matter what she would always catch the biggest one.  She had the uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable and respected. 

Brenda was a loving wife to Richard for the last 48 years, and an adored mother of Nathan (Melissa), Yara and Tyler.  Her loving grandchildren are Karson, Riley, Carson, Kaley and Dante who will always remember they had the most remarkable and loving Nana.  She will be sorely missed by the rest of her family and friends.

Brenda was predeceased by her parents David Barton and Irene Wengreniuk, her stepfather Nick Wengreniuk, as well as her nephew David Carter.

For everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Brenda they also had the pleasure of knowing true unconditional love and kindness.  She was an angel on Earth and now will remain, always and everywhere, an angel in our hearts.

A Celebration of Brenda's Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch #51, Edson, on September 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM
