Bradley Joseph Schaalje

After a long and courageous battle with cancer we are heart broken to announce the passing of Brad Schaalje. A much-loved husband, father, son and friend, he left us for a better place on June 25, 2022, in Edmonton, Alberta. Brad is survived by his wife Mia, son Darian, daughter Grace, son Dominic, parents Jack (Deb) Schaalje and Debra (Rick) Pike, brother Matt and sisters Amber (Bryan), Kerri (Bryn), grandma Rena Derricott, special sister in law Leng and first wife Joella as well as countless friends and family.

Brad was born August 19, 1977, in Cardston, Alberta. His early years were spent in Orton, Alberta, surrounded by lots of family. He always had a love for the Fort Macleod area, living and working there until he moved north to Edson, where he was living at the time of his death. Brad always had to know how things worked, had to take everything apart just to see what's inside. Probably where he got his love for mechanics and carpentry, always wanting to fix, change or improve everything. In younger days Brad and brother Matt loved to spend countless hours with their favorite pal Grandpa Derricott. He loved fishing and boating, working, laughing and just living.

 Heaven welcomed home a good man.
