Blaine Alexander Dickerson

Blaine Dickerson was born and raised in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, the beloved son of the late Rose and Richard Dickerson. Growing up alongside six sisters and two brothers, he developed the strong work ethic, resilience, and deep appreciation for family that would define his life.

As a young man, Blaine headed west to Alberta with his sister Kimberly, settling first in Whitecourt before spending several years in McBride, British Columbia. Those years were among his happiest, as they allowed him to combine his love of building with precious time spent with his children. In 1993, he returned to New Brunswick, where he built a family cabin that became the backdrop for countless cherished memories. In 2011, Blaine returned to Hinton, Alberta, where he met the love of his life, Stacey. They married in 2013 and built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.

Blaine was a hardworking, strong, and caring man who took immense pride in everything he did. A master carpenter and dedicated employee of West Fraser Mills, he was respected for his craftsmanship, his integrity, and his willingness to lend a helping hand.

Blaine was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, father, Grampy, brother, uncle, and friend. He welcomed Stacey's children as his own and loved every grandchild without distinction. To Blaine, family was never defined by blood—it was defined by love. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being surrounded by those he loved.

Blaine is lovingly remembered by his wife, Stacey Dickerson (Callihoo); his father- and mother-in-law, George and Janice Callihoo; his siblings, Tammy (Ivan) of Barrie, ON; Kimberly (Roy) of Edson, AB; Trudy of Hinton, AB; Peggy (Paul) of Woodstock, NB; Roseann of St. George, NB; Thomas (Corine) of Hinton, AB; and Serena (Craig) of Spruce Grove, AB.

He is also lovingly remembered by his children, Robin (Linden) of Red Deer and Tyler of Red Deer; his bonus children, Jordyn (Steven), Kody (Rhiann), and Jesse (Douglas); his sister-in-law, Christie Callihoo, and her son, Briggs, and by the countless nieces and nephews, and by the seven grandchildren who proudly called him "Grampy": Russel, Ava, Taylor, Mia, Mick, Ovi, and Everly.

Blaine's life reminds us that the strongest things we build are not made from lumber or stone. They are built with love, time, patience, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to the people who matter most. Throughout his life, Blaine built many beautiful things with his hands, but his greatest masterpiece was the family he loved so deeply. His kindness, quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering love will continue to live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Brûlé Community Hall.
