Betty Elaine Evans

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Betty “Elaine” Evans, who left us on Monday, May 13th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 86 years.

Elaine leaves behind her two children: Kimberly (Melvin) Neufeld, and Kelly (Angela) Evans; her four grandchildren: Christopher (Blanche) Evans, Jonathan (Taryn) Evans, Jessica (Matthew) Gaboury, and Chelsea (Ryan) Van Dyk; and her six great-grandchildren: Oliver, Felix, Oakley, Grayson, Elliot, and Everly. Elaine also leaves behind many other family members who held a special place in her heart.

Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Basil, her sister, Doreen, and her parents, Carrie and Elden Schaefer.

Born on December 5, 1937, Elaine lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, finding her greatest joy in nurturing her loved ones. Elaine's warm smile and compassionate nature endeared her to all who knew her.

Elaine had a passion for games of chance, particularly the lottery and bingo, where she found excitement and joy. She also had a sweet tooth and was known for her love of treats, never showing up empty-handed to events.

Throughout her life, Elaine dedicated herself to spreading joy and creating cherished memories with her family and friends. Her generous spirit and love for celebrations made every occasion feel special to those around her.

A small private ceremony will be held on May 21st for the family, as per Elaine's request.
