Bernice Jeanette (Philbrick) Robinson

Bernice Robinson, resident of Edson, AB, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at the Edson Hospital, at the age of 86 years.

Bernice was born in Radway, AB, on April 24, 1934, to Galen and Esther Philbrick.  She was the oldest of two siblings; her sister Estelle lives in Cranbrook, BC.

Bernice married Gerald Robinson on July 18, 1953 and had seven children who were the love of her life.  She loved spending time with her family, and she enjoyed many adventures with them while fishing, berry picking and visiting their grandparents.  She loved gardening and cooking amazing meals for her family and one thing for sure, you never left her house hungry, and fresh baking was always available.  The next best thing in her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Bernice will be sadly missed by her children:  Sharon O’Grady, Braden (Suzanne) Robinson, Brenda (Mike) Fournier, Wendy (Wayne) Dubeau, Linda (Chris) Sutherland, Randy Robinson, Brent (Wendy) Robinson; grandchildren: Gerry, Julie, Chris, Kirston, Chantelle, Michelle, Nicholas, Kristy, Chad, Hailey, Tara, Shelby, Derek, Elizabeth, Megan, Jayden and Jordy; and 19 great-grandchildren.  We had a mom with a heart of gold, and we were blessed to have her as our mother, she will be missed by us all.

She was predeceased by her husband Gerald; parents Esther and Galen Philbrick.

The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff at the Edson Hospital for their kindness and care provided to Bernice the last few weeks of her life.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held later.
