Becky Colleen (Stewart) Muzyka

It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Becky (Stewart) Muzyka, at the age of 62 years, on August 17, 2024. Born in Atikokan, Ontario, on February 27, 1962, Becky was 1 of 6 children to Stan and Betty Stewart.

In 1983 Becky married the love of her life, Robert Muzyka. They moved from Atikokan, ON to Slave Lake, Alberta. After Robert got transferred from the Mill there, he was relocated to Hinton, Alberta, where they both worked and raised their family.

Becky worked for the Town of Hinton for the past 20 years. Her lifelong passion of life guarding was her ultimate career. She enjoyed her time working and had made precious friendships over the years.

With her lifelong medical issues and her kidney disease, she was blessed to have had 2 kidney transplants. She pushed through it all and made the best of her life.

Left to mourn are her children Tanis Fedchuk (Brad), Ryan Muzyka (Shonagh), grandchildren, Kiera Fedchuk, Ryker Muzyka, Asher Muzyka, her beloved dog- Grizz, her 5 siblings (Shelly, Wendy, Dale, Bob, and Bonnie), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Becky is predeceased by her husband Robert Muzyka, parents Stan and Betty Stewart and brother-in-law Martin Muzyka.

Becky has touched many hearts with her caring, loving and compassionate soul, she will be deeply missed and cherished!

A Celebration of Life with be held on September 26th, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Hinton Centre.

Donations can be made in her name to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
