Anne Stephanie (Diakow) Peters

Mrs. Anne Stephanie Peters (Diakow), of Edson, Alberta, passed away on October 27, 2022, at the age of 90.

Anne was born on May 10, 1932, to Michael and Helen Diakow on the family homestead at Willows, Saskatchewan. After attending school in Lake of the Rivers (Willows) No. 72, and Assiniboia, she took a commercial/business program and subsequently went on to employment for Simpsons Sears and later Ashdowns in Regina.

Around this time, she met John Peters in Moose Jaw and in 1958, they wed. They went on to have 5 children, Derek, Wade, Lee-Ann, Bruce, and Graeme.

After retiring, Anne spent her time traveling and visiting her friends, family, children and grandchildren as much as possible. 

Anne is predeceased by her loving husband John, her son, Derek, her grandson, Michael, her parents, and her brothers, John, William (Bill), Bernard (Bernie), Edward (Ed).   She is survived by her sister, Lillian (Lil); her four children, Wade, Lee-Ann, Bruce, and Graeme, daughters-in-law, Linda and Cynthia, her grandchildren, Jonathan (Kinda), Darryl, Lyndon (Taylor), Jason, Brett, Stephanie, Jillian, Madison, Maggie, Christina and great grandchildren, Lincoln, Mya, Finnley, Rowynn, Samantha, Daytin, Riley, Ezekiel, and Isabella.

As per Anne’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service and only a Grave Site Burial with her husband in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
