Agnes Ruth (MacDougall) Shepherd

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Agnes Ruth Shepherd in the Edson Hospital on December 18th, 2024.

Survived by her loving son, Dwayne Shepherd, Agnes was predeceased by her husband, Horace Bradburn Shepherd. Born in Burtonsville on October 15th, 1939, to Arthur Stanley MacDougall and Doris Ethel (Howlett) MacDougall, Agnes graduated from Keephills School. Agnes left Burtonsville after graduation to work in Edmonton as a bank teller before marrying Horace and moving to Edson where she spent many happy and fulfilling years on the family farm.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Edson Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion during Agnes’ final days.

The service will take place on January 4th, at 1:30 pm at The Bethel Pentecostal Church in Edson.
