The family of Ada Mary Dozorec regretfully announce that she passed peacefully away on November 9, 2022, at the age of 91 in the long-term care facility at the Edson Hospital. Born May 10, 1931, at home in Riviere Qui Barre, Alberta and raised as a farm girl. Ada married Steve Dozorec on October 28, 1948, in Calahoo, Alberta. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and raising 5 boys, mostly on her own with Steve away from home a lot for work. She was predeceased by Steve in 2005 and by 2 sons, John in 2019 and Norman in 2010 and a granddaughter, Caitlyn Ann in 1987. She is survived by 3 sons and 5 daughters-in-law. Johanna (John), Jim (Betsy), Cindy (Norman), Steven (Connie) and Tony (Maureen), as well as by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Should you wish to donate, please do so in Ada’s name to the Edson Continuing Care Centre, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
A Memorial Service will be held on May 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edson, AB with Interment to follow at the Glenwood Cemetery.
