Mrs. Yvonne Marie Thebeau  (nee Laramee)

1938-2017

Yvonne Thebeau passed away with her beloved husband Hubert at her side on September 4, 2017 at the age of 78 Years.  Yvonne was born in La Corey, Alberta on December 21, 1938 to George Laramee and Diane Bouchard.  She was the only daughter in a family of 7 children.  Yvonne was predeceased by her parents: George in 1994 and by Diane in 2004, infant brother Rene, and by her elder brother Edward in 2006. 

She was also predeceased by brothers-in-law Elzear Thebeau, Pierre Thebeau, Theodore Thebeau and by Robert and Delphin Thebeau who both died in infancy as well as sisters-in-law Melina Marcoux Roy and Patricia Thibodeau.

Yvonne is survived by her loving husband Hubert, her son George and by her daughter Joanne. Son-in-law Nigel Green and by 2 step grandchildren Kavari and Kaylia Green. Sister-in-law Noella (Edward) Laramee , brothers Raymond Laramee, Andre (Patricia) Laramee, Harvey Laramee and Arthur (Diane) Laramee.  Sisters-in-law Maria (Elzear) Thebeau, Jeannette (Theodore) Thebeau, Marie-Louise (Alyre) Richard and Noella (Telex) Guimond.  Brothers-in-law Emile (Andrea) Thebeau, Robert (Lynn) Thebeau, Delphin (Irma) Thebeau, Josephat (Robin) Thebeau and Amand (Elianne) Thebeau as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many very dear friends.

Yvonne enjoyed life to the fullest, she loved playing Bingo, board games, cards and camping with family and friends.  Yvonne worked in many different positions, as a child care worker, and also with handicapped children and also worked helping unwed mothers.  In later years she went on to work as a waitress and also at various places as a salesperson.

We would like to pass along a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE thank you to Dr. Jones, Dr. Sorrenson and to Dr. Muthanna for all of the care they have provided Yvonne for her last year.  We would also like to thank all of the hospital staff in Hinton and in Edmonton, and all of the medical staff who were involved.  Thank you to the Catholic Church, (Priests, musicians and all of the CWL members) for all of the help given us in our time of sorrow.

A time of viewing and visitation will be held at 6:00 P.M. at Our Lady Of The Foothills Catholic Church in Hinton, Alberta on Friday, September 8, 2017 and the Prayer Service will follow at 7:00 P.M.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Father Thomas Basani and Father James Bodula as Celebrants.

As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Yvonne, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Hinton SPCA.
