Wendy Spezowka was born on March 27, 1961 in Tisdale, Sask. to George and Beverly (Nee Benneke) Mojelski. Wendy received her education in Theodore, Sask. Wendy married Martin Spezowka in Regina, Sask. In 1989 Wendy, Martin and their 2 children moved to Hinton, AB. While in Hinton Wendy raised 3 children and operated a childcare business for 27 years. Wendy’s hobbies included a great love of the outdoors, especially if it included a lake, a river or a stream. Wendy was very passionate for water. Wendy loved cooking for her entire family, especially during Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Wendy loved to travel all over western Canada, western USA and various locations throughout Mexico. Wendy was very passionate about learning how to live in a nontoxic friendly environment. She was very tenatiously passionate about this idea right up until her dying day. Wendy’s hobbies also included gardening and visiting with friends and neighbours.
Wendy leaves to mourn her husband Martin, her 3 children Farrah Kit (Kevin) of Stony Plain, AB, Dustin Spezowka (Heather) of Hinton and Melissa Spezowka of Hinton. Wendy also leaves to mourn her passing her sisters and brother: Cindy Madson (Irvin) of Springside, Sask., Pat Spezowka (Murray) of Yorkton, Sask., sister-in-law Korine Mojelski of Oxbow, Sask., Cathy Vehnon (Terry) of Yorkton, Sask., Jerry Mojelski (Tara) of Sundre, AB., Julie Mauricio (Alan) of Edmonton, AB., Sherry Pinder (Jeremy) of Regina, Sask. Wendy also leaves to mourn her passing 5 grand children, Felicia Kit of Spruce Grove, AB., Casey Kit and Madison Kit, both of Stony Plain, AB., Summer Spezowka and Troy Spezowka both of Hinton, AB. Wendy also leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews from all over western Canada and California. Wendy also leaves to mourn her Mother Beverly Mojelski in Yorkton, Sask.
Wendy was predeceased by her father George Mojelski in 2000. Wendy was also predeceased by her brother Greg Mojelski in 2004.
We will all miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hinton Community Centre, Hinton, AB on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Lori Frattinger officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation in Wendy’s Memory may be offered to the Edmonton Epilepsy Association or Alberta Heart and Stroke.
