Robert Guy Wingo passed away in Hinton, Alberta on June 2, 2017 at the age of 88 years.  Bob was born in Niton, Alberta.

Bob is survived by his son Robert, wife Lena and grand-daughter Cheyenne and Lou-Ann; by his daughter Barbara and granddaughters Candace Underhill, Tara (Robert Lavoie) and Trisha Underhill and by his great grandchildren Michelle Cantryn, Sebastian Cantryn and Logan Robert Lavoie.  Bob is also survived by his siblings Dora McMallen of Fox Creek, Alberta, Ruby Stockland of Cumberland, British Columbia, Ben Wingo of Youbou, British Columbia and Nancy Morris of Lake Cowichan, British Columbia.  Bob is also survived by his special  buddy, his dog Patches.  Bob was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Anna Wingo, his wife Marion Wingo, siblings Oren, Clara, Jim and Bill and by his grandson Robert John West. 

Bob married Marion Alice Scott on July 1, 1978 and they lived in both Cadomin and Hinton, Alberta.  He worked for CN for 33 years until his retirement in 1985.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was a very kind and generous man and a great friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  He loved to play his guitar and sing, he loved to tell a good story and a funny joke and spoil his puppy Patches.  He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends and all who know him. 

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held in early July of 2017 at the Cadomin Legion. 

The family would like to thank Bob’s special angels Joan Parry and Crystal and Scott Kendall for their support and care at Bob’s passing.
