Marion Mabel Stone

1934 ~ 2018

Mrs. Marion Mabel Stone passed away on October 20, 2018 in Edson, Alberta at the age of 84 years.

Marion was born on June 6, 1934 in Bonnyville, Alberta to parents Pearl & Hugh McKay. She married Frank Stone in May of 1952.

Marion went to school and lived in Edmonton and worked in the photofinishing & photography business. Marion & Frank had one daughter, Sandy in 1955. The family of three moved to Edson in 1969 to start their own business and Marion continued to work in photography.

Marion is lovingly remembered by her husband Frank Stone; daughter Sandy (Jerry) Storozhenko; grandchildren Tyler Storozhenko & Carissa Sidor and her children Brody, Cash & Jesse; brother Dave McKay and his children Jeff & Michael and their families.

Marion was predeceased by her parents Pearl & Hugh McKay and her brother Jim.

Respecting Marion and Frank’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a small family celebration will take place at a later date.

Thank you to the staff at Long Term Care for taking care of Marion for the past several years.

In lieu of other tributes, donations can be made to Rheumatoid Arthritis Research or the Recreation Department of Long Term Care Edson.
