Keith Howard Wilson

Surrounded by loving family, Keith Howard Wilson passed away peacefully in Hinton, Alberta on October 9, 2019 at the age of 73.

The most important thing to Keith was his family. He loved his time with family and friends and made every effort to be there both in times of need and celebration. Keith will be remembered for his quick and witty sense of humour, integrity and reliability, and his pride in all that he did. Keith was full of charm and charisma; he impacted and touched the hearts of many.

Some of Keith’s favourite pastimes were fishing at the lake, collecting and restoring antique cars, camping, travelling, and going for coffee with his buddies.

On July 1, 1946, Keith was born to Albert Wilson and Alma (nee Seward) Wilson in Peace River, Alberta and spent his first 23 years living in Grimshaw, Alberta. 

In 1967, after dating for three years, Keith married the love of his life, Marie Chabot, and together they raised their beautiful girls.

With a mind for business and a love of socializing, Keith began a successful, lifelong career in sales that took him to several cities and towns in British Columbia and Alberta over the years.  In 1992, he and his wife, Marie, came to settle in Hinton, where he resided for the next 26 years, putting down roots and becoming a well-loved member of the community.

Keith’s memory will be greatly cherished by his loving wife, Marie (nee Chabot) Wilson, three daughters and their husbands; Michele (David) Wilson McCune, Trinity (Daniel) Freedman and Nicole (Clayton) Holmes, seven grandchildren; Gabrielle Wilson, Danielle Wilson McCune, Joel Wilson McCune, Noah Freedman, Rosemarie Wilson McCune, Adao Freedman and Odin Freedman, siblings; Frank (Carol) Wilson, Donna (Bill) Paul, Dianna (Dennis) Aspeslet. Keith was predeceased by his daughter, Danielle Wilson, and siblings; Kathleen, Albert, and Fred.

On behalf of the Wilson family, we would like to whole-heartedly thank Dr. Dreyer and all the nurses and staff who so kindly and respectfully cared for Keith at the Hinton Health Centre and Cross Cancer Institute.
