James William Testo Jr.
Known as Jim or Jimmy to family & friends, he passed away at the age of 70 yrs old in Edmonton, AB on December 15, 2019.
The family moved to Hinton in the summer 1956. Jim attended school in Hinton. He worked different construction jobs and went on to become a heavyduty mechanic. He worked at Obed Mine until he had to go off on long term. He owned a motorcycle shop where he met Shirley. They married April 22, 1972.
Jim had a love for the outdoors & spent time out camping & quadding all summer long. He spent time with his grandkids whenever he could. Myles was his sidekick. His grandkids were the light of his life. He loved fixing small engines, chainsaws etc. for anyone who dropped one off at his door. Many friends came & went having coffee in his garage. Coffee was always on. He was always there if you needed help.
Survived by his wife Shirley of 47 years and children, Neil (Lisa) with Madison & Max Testo; Shelby (Giselle) with Elizabeth Testo; Twila (Todd) Myles with Sara Goolsby, all of Hinton AB.
Surviving siblings: Brian (Pat) Testo, Cathy Badry and Sandy Drew with Gary Clark; as well as numerous nephews, nieces & cousins.
Predeceased by his mother Eileen (Cowley) Letcher and his father James Testo, Sr. and his grandchildren Ethan Testo & Riley Testo and his grandparents Emma & Bob Cowley and Martire & (Sidney)Thomas Testo (Testa).
A graveside Service will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM with a Reception to follow at the Alliance Church, 147 Swanson Drive, in the Valley.
