Mr. George Joseph Maggs
1929 – 2017
Mr. George Joseph Maggs formerly of Edson, Alberta passed away on December 2, 2017 at the age of 88 years. George will be forever loved, remembered, and survived by his children Doug Maggs, Audrey (Kelvin) Maggs, Darrell (Susan) Maggs and Sheila (Rick) Gagne; grandchildren Stacy, Michael, Taryn, Riley, Jesse and Kara; great grandchildren Gavin and Elliotte. George is also survived by his siblings Ellen (Robert) Fowler, Edith Carty, Shirley (Gordon) Killert and Robert (Sam) Maggs. George was predeceased by his parents William and Anne Maggs and by his siblings Betty, Billy, and Ruthie. A Memorial Service will be held at the Foothills Memorial Chapel of Edson Funeral Home on Saturday April 28th, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Keith Denman officiating. Family and friends are then invited to join the family for fellowship and refreshments immediately following the service. A private burial with family only will follow. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of George, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to a charity of your choice in care of Foothills Memorial Chapel-Edson Funeral Home P.O.
