Mr. Gabriel  Dedich

1932 – 2017

Mr. Gabriel Dedich a long time resident of Hinton, Alberta,  passed away on September 10, 2017 at the age of 85 years.  Gabriel was born May 6, 1932 in Andraz, Slovenia. In 1958, he moved to the Hinton area where he worked in the logging industry until his retirement. In 1998 he moved to Edmonton and enjoyed many years there meeting new people and spending time at the Slovenian Club.

Gabriel leaves to mourn his passing, his three children Fred (Linette), Ady (Mark) and Emy (Dale); grandchildren Kelley, Brandon, Sigourney, Kaelyn and Jelena.  He is also survived by  other relatives and dear friends. 

Gabriel will always be remembered for his love for the outdoors, gardening, animals, woodworking and playing his button accordion.

At Gabriel’s request, no formal funeral service will be held.

As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Gabriel, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society 10531 Kingsway Ave. Edmonton, Alberta T5H 4K1.

The family would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses and support staff at Villa Caritas in Edmonton and also the Continuing Care in Edson who tended to Gabriel during his illness.
