Darlene Russell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our devoted Mother, Grandma, GiGi and sister.

Darlene passed away peacefully at home in Whitecourt, Alberta surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Darlene was predeceased by her father Lionell Harper, mother Edith Harper and brothers Dennis and Roy Harper.  She is survived by her loving children John (Nicole) Russell and Angela (Andrew) Leduc; Grandchildren Kayla (Tommy), Jessica (Ryan), Bradley, Mackenzie, Tyler, Allison and Ian. Great Grandchildren Kenton, Brielle and Ethan.  She also leaves behind her Brothers Raymond (Celeste), Pat, Monty (Betty) and Eric (Kathy) as well as her sister Christine (Mike) and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the medical staff at Whitecourt Life Medical and to the Home care nurses, Dr. Joseph and Dr. Basson for their kind and gentle devoted care.

Service with be held on Friday August 30, 2019 at 3pm. This will be taking place at the Campbell River Legion, 301 11 Ave.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the organization of your choice. Kind words, cards and thoughts are welcome to make a memory book of Darlene. This can be sent to 14 Torgerson Dr, Whitecourt, Alberta T7S 1T6.
