Robert James Martin

Mr. Robert “Bob” James Martin of Edson passed away on October 18, 2017 at the age of 66 years following a courageous battle with cancer.   Bob was born on October 5, 1951 in Edson to Viola and William Martin.  He worked for the Town Of Edson in Parks and Leisure for over 30 years until his recent retirement. Bob is survived by his loving wife Judy, sons Jason (Alyzza), Cory (Michelle) and Mike (Deb) and by five grandchildren whom he loved very much.  He is also survived by siblings Judy, John (Sharon), Gail (Larry), Danny (Violet) and Rod as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  Bob was predeceased by his father William, his mother Viola Skates, his dad John Skates, his brother Shawn, nephew Jamie and by his niece Sara.  A memorial service will be held at the Edson Legion Hall on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 1:00 P.M.  As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Bob, please consider making a donation on our go fund me page via Facebook.  Foothills Memorial Chapel – Edson Funeral Home have been entrusted with the care and funeral arrangements. 780-723-3575.  Condolences can be forwarded to the family by visiting our website at www.foothillsmemorialchapel.com.
