Mr. Paul Ronald Lemire a long time resident of Hinton passed away on June 20, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Paul married Leona October 10, 1959 and lived in Edson in the early days for 6 ½ years until they moved to Hinton in 1966 where the family very much enjoyed the beautiful mountains.   Paul’s love of nature was fulfilled with the sheer beauty of Hinton and its breathtaking surroundings.  Paul loved his family and spending time with all of them picnicking and camping whenever they got the opportunity.  Paul also very much enjoyed cowboy poetry, rodeos, studying genealogy and being a part of the Knights of Columbus for many years.  Paul is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Leona of Hinton, his much loved children Patrick (Donna) Lemire, Wayne Lemire, his adopted sons Greg Goulet and Roger Fontaine Jr.  and by his only granddaughter Diane Lemire.  Paul is also survived by his brother Eugene Lemire, other relatives and many very dear friends.  Paul was predeceased by his parents Delia and Emil Lemire, siblings Andre Lemire, Louis Lemire, Raymond Lemire, Phillip Lemire, Irene O’Neil and Anna Blouin.  A Funeral Mass for the late Mr. Paul Lemire will be held at Our Lady of the Foothills Catholic Church in Hinton on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:00 P.M.
