To my cousins Phyllis, Velma, Harvey, Cathy & Charlotte I was so sorry to read of your Mom's passing. She was a very strong woman and a dear, sweet lady.
So many of my best childhood memories are of your Mom and my overnights at your farm - our families picking chokecherries together, her letting me “help” pick peas in the garden when in truth, I ate more than went in the pail. Her swatting me on the butt and the look on her face when I turned around & she realized I was not Velma. Homemade chocolate pudding after supper, the fun and laughter shared at her 75th birthday in Luseland, her homemade sauerkraut (can’t buy anything half as good), all the canning she put up stored in the rootcellar, that huge doll collection and her independence as she got older driving by herself to visit her kids & grandkids.
Your Mom was always my favorite Auntie and I will remember her with much love and affection.
